Role: CMM Inspector
Client: DOD-Aerospace
Location: Louisville, KY
Duration: 1-year contract w/ possible extension
Hourly Rate: $48-53/hr (W2, non-benefited)

Position Description:
You will be responsible for developing quality plans, quality assurance procedures, performing layout work on applicable measurement equipment using Faro, Leica or similar laser inspection equipment and offline programming using PCDMISCAD and Spatial Analyzer software.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Reads and interprets customer drawings and specifications and identify appropriate inspection methods.
- Interprets geometric dimensioning and tolerancing specifications.
- Performs 1st piece, last piece, and in-process inspection checks
- Evaluates nonconforming material to determine final disposition
- Provides support to Manufacturing Engineering and other business units
- May direct the work of less senior personnel
- Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies
- Uses laser tracker to align components to machine coordinates
- Determines best fit for weldments to optimize machine stock
- Supports when needed on off-shifts and/or via overtime
Required Skills:
- Experience performing inspection and alignment with Laser Trackers
- Portable Metrology experience using Spatial Analyzer or equivalent software
- CMM programming and operation using PCDMIS or equivalent software
- Mechanical Inspection of weldments and complex machined parts
- CMS Certification
- Possesses effective communication skills, both verbal and in writing, to convey information
- Computer literacy required to be able to prepare appropriate reports and documents. Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Working experience with ANSI Y14.5 GD&T
- Experience reading and working with blueprints
- Work history with portable Metrology Inspection and Alignment
- Understanding of and the ability to use shop math
- Ability to support overtime and/or the off-shift team when needed
Required Education & Experience
- High School diploma (or GED or equivalent) and 8 years related work experience
- Associate’s Degree and 6years related work experience
- Bachelor's Degree and 4 years related work experience
