Full Job Description Crisis Therapist

Salary: 65,000-70,000 per year full time

Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K with up to 4% match, PTO, holidays-including a week off between Christmas and New Years

Setting: Amazing organization that provides holistic outpatient community based health and wellness care in the Chicago/Oak Park area. The organization is looking for a highly skilled crisis clinician/therapist.

Position: Very rewarding position working to help stabilize individuals in the community experiencing adverse events. Clinicians will respond to incoming requests for intervention from individual, family, school, community agencies, police, and arrange for coordination of community resources including: hospitals, shelters, respite care, and substance use treatment. They will also conduct short-term therapy for those in crisis treatment setting.

Daily life: Schedule is typically 3- 12-hour shifts per week, days/times are flexible.

Requirements:

• LCPC or LCSW, licensed to practice in Illinois
• Master’s Degree
• Previous experience in crisis management
• Strong understanding of community agencies for referral
• Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities in mental health crisis intervention.
• Ability to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid (within 60 days of employment).
• Possession and maintenance of a valid state driver license and documentation of current insurance coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Manage crisis calls, triage and refer to appropriate agencies
• Facilitate therapy with clients within crisis treatment setting
• Complete charting and documentation in accordance with documentation policies and procedures
• Collaborates with other professionals on the client's treatment team and within the community to develop, coordinate, or integrate treatment plans.
• Maintaining detailed records of patients' progress
• Adhere to organizational standards and policies and procedures, code of ethics, legal aspects of clinical practice, professional standards, duty to warn, abuse and neglect reporting policies and procedures and exercise professionalism at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
