What You Will Be Doing

As a Clinical Scientist at identifeye HEALTH, you will have training and expertise in vision science, clinical optical imaging devices, retinal imaging technologies and interdisciplinary science. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop and evaluate optical imaging technologies for research and product development. This will include conducting clinical studies to assess optical imaging modalities and test feasibility and performance of retinal biomarkers.

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:

• Provide scientific expertise for optical imaging and clinical applications
• Identify and implement proper research methods and develop new methods as required to evaluate optical imaging devices and technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute experimental plans to gain fundamental knowledge and test clinical feasibility
• Collaborate with the broader clinical team to develop protocols to investigate technical and clinical challenges
• Conduct literature reviews, summarize developments in the field and collaborate with ML/engineering teams to develop hypotheses and solutions
• Perform data analysis and interpretations
• Document and communicate results, including reports
• Make recommendations to improve performance of devices and processes
• Collaborate on multi-disciplinary teams to foster ideation and development of new intellectual property
• Advance the company's knowledge of clinical optical imaging devices and technologies

What We Are Looking For

Baseline Skills, Experiences, & Attributes:

• Doctoral degree in Ophthalmological/Optical/Vision Science, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or related fields
• Experience with human studies of optical imaging technologies
• Academic and/or industry post-graduate experience in vision science and clinical optical imaging technologies preferred
• Strong orientation towards technology development, clinical translation, and cross-functional teamwork
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, within individual as well as group interaction
• Demonstrates technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought
• Exercises proper judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%
