Position Description
We have an opening for a
Clinica Latina Manager in our Clinic Based Services program! The Clinica Latina Manager (CTM) is responsible for management of the day-to-day functioning and programming of culturally specific services within our Clinica Latina program in Clinic Based Services. This is a dynamic full-time, 40 hour a week position that involves oversight of bilingual mental health and AODA clinicians, interacting with community partners and some direct service for Clinica Latina clients. The weekly schedule can be flexible to a hybrid format for both on sight and work from home approaches.
Clinica Latina is a preference-based mental health and substance abuse treatment program for individuals who identify as a person of color and speak Spanish. The program offers individual and group mental health and substance abuse treatment as well as case management and partnering with Dane county organizations involved in the Latin community.

This position qualifies for an additional 5% increase based on Spanish language proficiency and a $3,000 sign-on bonus!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management and Delivery of Clinical Services
- Coordinate recruitment, hiring, supervision and training of new staff including efforts to hire and retain a diversified staff.
- Work closely with all members of the clinic-based management team and the Director of Clinic Based Services in the planning, development and operation of clinical services for individuals receiving substance use disorder and/or mental health services.
- Monitor service contracts, and guide clinical services to ensure contracts expectations are being met on a regular basis
- Coordinate services with other JMHC programs and services including Records, Emergency Services Unit and the Clinical Assessment Unit.
- Complete accurate clinical records including intakes, case histories, treatment plans, case notes, discharge summaries and other information in a timely manner.
- Quality Improvement and Administration
- Oversee service compliance with state licensing, certifications, and billing regulations, especially regarding the required documentation in consumer treatment records.
- Provide oversight of process improvement change projects and support staff input into changes in processes and services.
- Oversee the Clinica Latina budget in collaboration with the Director of Clinic Based Services.
- Community Advocacy and Public Relations
- Represent the agency and program mission and values to other agencies, funding sources, and the general public.
REQUIREMENTS
Education/Licensure
- Master’s degree in related behavioral health field
- One year of in-training licensure towards a PhD, PsyD, LMFT, LPC or LCSW, and can meet relevant licensing requirements for billable services and supervision for mental health and/or substance use disorder services
- Bilingual (must be able to pass Alta Language Proficiency Test)
- Spanish
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record; access to car and willingness to use it for work (i.e. transporting consumers)
Experience
- Clinical supervision experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally sensitive recovery oriented and trauma informed manner with larger systems both inside and outside the agency.
- Demonstrated understanding of contract compliance issues in substance use disorder, and adult mental health fields.
- Knowledge of and demonstrated skill in providing culturally sensitive, trauma informed staff development and supervision, program planning and quality assurance.
Preferred licensure/certifications/experience
- Full licensure in one or more of the following:
- PhD
- PsyD
- Licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFT)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed in one of the following within Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA):
- Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC)
- Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC)
- Substance Use Disorder specialty.
- Management experience in a human service provider agency.
- Experience in crisis resolution
