Job description

This position works closely with the County Engineer and will be responsible for preforming roadway, traffic control, field inspections, drainage and Utility Design tasks for Public Projects. Candidates will need to have the ability to travel to Project sites, as needed, primarily Floyd County.

Job Requirements:

· Civil design experience in roadway, grading, drainage, utility and site development projects

· Prepare construction plans, designs, calculations, specifications, bid documents, and cost estimates

· Knowledge of local and state design standards and procedures

· Strong professional work ethic

· Capable of working independently or within a design team

· Excellent communication skills with project team, government agencies, and residents

· Positive attitude and strong leadership skills

· Ability to efficiently utilize time in completing task accurately, on schedule within budget

· Experience with AutoCad, Civil 3D, Micro Station software and proficient with MS Office software

Degree Required: B.S. Civil Engineering

Experience Accepted: Co-op and Internship

Working Knowledge: AutoCad, Civil 3D, Micro Station and similar engineering software.

Pay: $62,000.00 - $66,500.00 per year
