Part-Time 20hr / week

OVERVIEW:

JOB DESCRIPTION: Supports Corps Officer with the following:

• Seasonal Red Kettle Campaign by delivering and picking up kettles, employees, aprons, and bells to each kettle location on their assigned route.
• Seasonal Angel Tree Program by picking up, assorting, and preparing toys. Replacing Angel Tags.

Clean up, take down, put away as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma OR equivalent
• Prior Experience with a Kettle and/or Angel Tree programs a plus

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

• At least 21 years old
• Pass a criminal background check
• Possess a valid California State driver’s license and pass Motor Vehicle Background Check
• Pass The Salvation Army driver safety training course
• Comfortable safely driving in all weather conditions and at night
• Self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, with emphasis on effectively working in a team environment
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment under the pressure of deadlines
• Available for flexible schedules Monday through Saturday

EQUIPMENT USED:

Desktop Computer, printer, company truck & van along with various light tools

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis.
• Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead
• Ability to operate a telephone
• Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer
• Ability to lift to 40 lbs.
• Ability to access and produce information from a computer
• Ability to understand written information
