We are a reputable chimney company seeking the right person to join our team. As a Chimney Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, cleaning, and repairing chimneys and fireplaces to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical know-how and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough inspections of chimneys, fireplaces, and related systems to identify any defects, damage, or safety hazards.
  • Clean chimneys and flues using appropriate tools and equipment to remove soot, debris, and creosote buildup, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
  • Conduct repairs, installations, and maintenance work on chimneys, fireplaces, dampers, caps, liners, and other chimney components as needed.
  • Provide professional advice and recommendations to clients regarding chimney safety, maintenance, and energy efficiency.
  • Accurately document inspection findings, repairs performed, and recommendations for future work in detailed reports for clients.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and best practices in all aspects of chimney work.
  • Uphold excellent customer service standards, addressing client concerns and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Collaborate with team members to schedule appointments, manage work orders, and maintain an organized inventory of equipment and supplies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Looking to hire a 1099 subcontractor. You will be required to maintain contractors insurance.
  • Ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment used in chimney inspections, cleaning, and repairs.
  • Strong knowledge of safety practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to document findings and communicate them clearly to clients.
  • Physical stamina and strength to work in various weather conditions, climb ladders, roofs and lift heavy equipment.
  • Valid driver's license.

We will train qualified candidates.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.36 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
