dot.LA is the premier source for news about and community for the Los Angeles tech and startup ecosystem. Launched in 2020 and backed by top VCs and angels, dot.LA serves an audience of hundreds of thousands founders, investors, and operators with media and a robust live events package.

As dot.LA expands operations, we are seeking a Chief Revenue Officer to oversee business-focused operations and spearhead new growth initiatives. The successful candidate will draw from a strong background in the media business to supercharge revenue growth across dot.LA’s advertising, events, and subscription businesses.

The Chief Revenue Officer will work directly with the CEO in identifying and executing growth opportunities. This position will garner a strong equity component and highly competitive compensation based on performance benchmarks.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop growth strategies with the executive team and board of directors
• Lead and grow dot.LA’s sales and business development teams
• Expand the current base of advertisers and sponsors through targeted outreach in strategic areas
• Develop and implement robust sales management processes – pipeline, account planning, and proposals
• Oversee all Channel/Partner Development - adding new sales channels and 3rd party
• resellers and partners

Skills & Experience

• Significant experience at a media / digital publishing organization in a revenue-generative capacity
• Ability to influence product development with an eye towards monetization
• Superlative ability to build relationships with prospects and new clientele
• “Growth hacking” mentality of executing in a nimble, fast-paced environment
• Fluency with the technology ecosystem, ideally with that of Los Angeles specifically

This is a full-time position with benefits, working remotely but will be based in Los Angeles.
