Job Responsibility:
- Provide strategic financial oversight aimed at strengthening the climate of accountability for financial performance, affordability of care and mission.
- Oversee and further develop a high-performing team that provides a broad range of financial functions, including accounting and reporting, budgeting, revenue cycle management, pricing, treasury and payer relations. Establish performance plans and goals for direct reports and their teams and evaluate outcomes annually.
- Facilitate and enhance the use of business intelligence, including key performance indicators and metrics, to provide business insight and better decision-making.
- Set standards of performance for department personnel, ensure adherence to all company philosophies, procedures, and regulations. Oversee departmental policy and procedure development and review.
- Direct all general accounting functions including annual financial audits, tax filings and financial reporting and analysis.
- Lead the strategic planning process for the Center’s long-term and annual financial planning and budget cycles. Monitor departmental budgetary performance.
- Provide direction to all management staff related to the performance of financial management matters.
- Serve as collaborative partner with senior leadership team to establish and monitor a wide range of strategic, financial, operational, clinical and administrative goals.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and pharmaceutical manufacturers and related contracts.
- Participate in the development of new programs and services, specifically: assist the Executive Leadership team in analyzing prospective opportunities, drafting of prospective programmatic budgets and determining cost effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization and oversee Federal and State awards and programs. Ensure compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
- Interact with board of directors and finance committee regarding financial statements, investments (both Corporate and sponsored retirement accounts) and their performance.
- Maintain banking relationships and credit facilities.
- Oversee business insurance plans and collaborate on employee benefit plan design and administration.
- Review billing and collection reports and make corrective recommendations.
- Oversee the maintenance of the inventory of all fixed assets.
- Additional responsibilities may entail facilities and procurement oversight.
Job Qualifications:
- Licensed CPA in good standing in the state of Indiana required.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required; Master’s degree is ideal
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare and nonprofit organizations required.
- 5+ years of experience with oversight responsibility of revenue cycle management required.
