The role you will contribute:

This role is replacing a recent retiree who worked with us for over 15yrs. Join a highly collaborative Physics and Dosimetry Team consisting of 5 FTE Physicists and 5 FTE Dosimetrists reporting up to a Regional Chief Physicist. The Physics and Dosimetry Team has a Regional architecture. The Region consists of 3 Cancer Centers and you would be planning cases for all 3 of our sites, it also means you have lots of built in backup and support. 3 Physicists including the Chief are stationed at Advent Health Daytona 2 Physicists are at Advent Health Palm Coast and 1 Physicist is at Advent Health Deland.

We use the following hardware and software:

We are an all-Varian shop; Varian Linacs and Aria is our EMR. We have Eclipse and Radformation’s Clearcheck, ClearCalc, EZ Fluence and Autocontour licensing for plan safety quality, standardization, and efficiency. Additionally we have Brainlab Elements MME, Spine, and AVM modules at AH Daytona if you want to be part of SRS planning team we would train you as needed. There are 5 Linacs in our Region; they include 2 Truebeams with Align RT, an NTx with VMAT and ExacTrac, a trilogy with VMAT, and an older 2100 without VMAT. A future Halcyon with HyperSight is scheduled to replace the NTx towards the end of this year.

Additional details about your role:

This is role permits remote work most of the time but you would need to live within driving distance of the Daytona campus as you would be expected to report onsite 1 day a week if we are a hosting a Dosimetry student from John Patrick University. We host about 1 student a year for their 720hr clinical internship. The Dosimetry Team also typically has 1 monthly onsite meeting at Daytona during working hours. Of course you are welcome to work onsite at any of the 3 campuses anytime you want. We have docking stations and dual 27” monitors set up for Physics and Dosimetry at all sites. We will supply you with a laptop, (2) 27” monitors, and a docking station for you to work remotely.
