Job Title: Cashier

Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team. The Cashier will be responsible for operating the cash register and handling cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will greet customers as they approach the checkout area, scan merchandise, collect payment, and provide receipts.

Responsibilities:

• Operate the cash register and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently
• Greet customers and answer their questions
• Scan merchandise and collect payment
• Provide receipts to customers
• Maintain accurate cash drawer
• Assist customers with returns, exchanges, and other transactions
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role preferred
• Basic math skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
