  Cash Application Specialist

  Pay: $20-$25/hour

  Start Date: ASAP

  Contract Length: 2 months (contract to hire is a possibility)

  Location: Morton Grove, IL (Hybrid)

  
  Our large distribution client is looking for a Cash Application Specialist to assist their team! Major initiative to recoup approximately $2M of unapplied cash in the next 60 days. The office is located in Morton Grove, IL and they are looking for someone to be onsite 3 days a week, the other 2 days remote.

  
  The ideal consultant will have previous A/R experience and have prior experience with Janus accounting system.

  The Cash Application Specialist will:

  • Apply daily cash receipts to customer accounts
  • Review and reconcile customer short pays and discrepancies
  • Contact customers regarding outstanding account balances
  • Process new customer credit applications and reference requests
  • Draft and submit A/R adjustment forms as needed
  • Assist with credit checks/order releases
  • Process daily billing and invoicing
  • Maintain electronic files for A/R and Billing paperwork
  • Data Entry/automate processes
