Case Aide

At Thomas Allen, our Case Aides are dedicated to providing exceptional service to individuals in our Community Living Services division. As a Case Aide, you'll work closely with our Program Director, Assistant Program Director, and Program Manager to ensure that all reports and documentation are completed accurately and in compliance with MN 245D and our positive support policy. You'll have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team, with flexible full-time and part-time positions available, and the possibility of some work-from-home options after training and six months on the job. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Program Director, Assistant Program Director, and Program Manager to ensure that reports for service recipients are well-written and delivered according to policy.
- Assist in preparing files for licensing.
- Work closely with Community Living Counselors to schedule support team meetings and complete necessary paperwork.
- Conduct audits of service receipt files.
- Assist in training and addressing questions from Community Living Counselors.
- Provide office coverage on assigned days.
- Offer contacts for individuals served when permanent staffing is unavailable, and provide transportation as needed.
- Assist with Thomas Allen-sponsored events or activities, including out-of-state/country trips, as requested.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma with 1 year of post-secondary education OR administrative assistant, office/clerical work experience, case aid or closely related experience required.
- Experience in the Human Services Field preferred.
- Experience with 245D preferred.
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to use word processing and email applications.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines with exceptional integrity, competency, and sense of urgency.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing environments and situations with superior organizational skills.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and ability to use own vehicle for work purposes.
- Ability to recognize boundaries and exhibit patience and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Proficiency in performing extended periods of sedentary work at a computer.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
