Job description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, and test new products and product improvements, including cost reductions, applying knowledge of engineering principles in a fast-paced environment.
- Employ problem solving skills to resolve issues encountered in product development.
- Execute projects utilizing CAD software creating 3D models and assemblies and drafts of parts components and assemblies.
- Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to evaluate design, focusing on improving performance, overall design, quality and safety.
- Provide product specifications and Bills of Material.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prefer at least a Certificate in mechanical design or 2 years of experience
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Should be proficient in AutoCAD
- Able to Design, develop, and test new products and product improvements, including cost reductions, applying knowledge of engineering principles in a fast-paced environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:
- Location: Laurens, SC
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Assignment Start: ASAP
