Volusia Transit Janitorial

We are looking to hire a hard-working Janitor to keep our busses functionally and aesthetically intact. The Janitor will ensure the busses are clean and well-maintained following a specific checklist of duties. The Janitor will sweep and mop the bus floors of both full sized and mid-sized public busses and special needs busses. The Janitor will also clean all handles and seats and dispose of any trash left over from the day’s route.

To ensure success you need to prioritize tasks and take pride in your work. Top candidates will be energetic, upstanding, and dexterous.

Janitor Responsibilities:

• Sweeping and mopping bus floors
• Cleaning the handles and seats
• Disposing of trash
• Maintaining cleaning equipment.
• Maintaining inventory of cleaning agents and equipment.

Janitor Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and agents.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Physically agile and dexterous.
• Resilient to cleaning agents and chemicals.
