Job Description: Facilities Maintenance

The Facilities Maintenance position is responsible for maintaining the smooth operation and professional appearance of the Maxitrol Southfield headquarters. This entails general maintenance of both building and grounds.

Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled maintenance on items such as: compressors, generators, AC, furnace, etc.
• Perform seasonal grounds maintenance such as: snow removal, planting, and landscaping.
• Maintain a professional appearance of the facility by painting, cleaning, waxing, and repairing all walls, floors, and ceilings as needed.
• Maintain inventory of custodial supplies and dispense as needed.
• Maintain neat and clean common areas such as restrooms, kitchens, and lobbies.
• Process all incoming and outgoing mail and packaged shipments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to handle machines and equipment such as tractors, snow plows, fork trucks, and various power tools.
• Must be able to perform intricate finger, hand, wrist, and arm movements without risk of injury to self or others.
• Must be able to use non-power tools including shovels, rakes, carts, dollies, and various hand tools.
• Must be able to work on a ladder and at heights including roof and rafters.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must have good eyesight including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to properly perform occasional electrical work.
• Must be able to walk, reach with hands and arms, sit, stoop, kneel or crouch.
• Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
