What this role is...
As the Building Custodian, the primary function of this position is to provide a clean and safe working environment for all Associates.
What you'll do...
As the Building Custodian, you will be responsible for:
- Cleaning and maintaining office floors and desk areas - Cleans building floors including conference rooms by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Uses carpet cleaning machine.
- Cleaning and maintaining office and conference areas – Dusts office furniture cleans windows and surface areas including desks, tables and cabinets. Collects trash and recycling. Organizes chairs in conference rooms.
- Cleaning and maintaining restrooms - Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms with paper goods. Requisitions supplies as needed.
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen area – Cleans coffee pots, sink and cabinets. Cleans refrigerator and floors.
- Miscellaneous duties - **Changes light bulbs and other minor repairs. Notifies manager concerning need for other repairs. Cleans and maintains stairwells, elevator rooms and electrical rooms.
- Showroom - Cleans and maintains showroom restrooms, collects trash, cleans windows and surfaces. Maintains and replenishes showroom dispensers; vacuums and mops floors.
- Clearance Center - Cleans and maintains concrete flooring, dusts, collects trash, cleans windows and surfaces.
This position is required to work day and night shifts 40 hours per week in a corporate office, warehouse and showroom setting. Physical work including bending and lifting are required.
Shift Hours:
Wednesday – Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday – Sunday 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM (flexible availability required on the weekends is preferred up to 8:00 or 9:00 PM)

Job Requirements
What we are looking for...
Education - High school diploma/GED High School Equivalent/Trade School
Work Experience and Skills – At least one (1) year of commercial cleaning experience; ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Other Skills - **Proficiency in reading and speaking English
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
