What We’re Looking For:
We are currently hiring a full-time Budget Accountant. The Budget Accountant will report to the Controller and assist the COO, CFO, Division Managers and Controller in developing the annual budget for the Company. Needs to have the ability to review budget exceptions and create a monthly variance report. As well as make recommendations to management team related to trends and other analysis.
The Budget Accountant will need to assist as needed on annual audits and produce the necessary reconciliation and supporting documentation for general ledger balances. Other general accounting duties will consist of bank statement reconciliation, payment processing, reconciliation of monthly credit card statements, assist in month-end closing, preparation of journal entries, process new vendor requests as well as special projects as assigned. It is essential that you can work independently as well as in a team.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
- Two to five years of accounting experience required.
- Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Highly proficient with accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload to stay on schedule, meeting deadlines.
- Team player who can collaborate with other teams in the organization.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
- Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.

Desired Skills
- Manufacturing background with experience in product costing and inventory control.
- Experience with Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the COO, CFO, Division Managers and Controller on the development of annual budgets and forecasting. Provide reporting for budget vs. actual and prior year variances.
Manage the budget schedule and engage appropriate key personnel to ensure budget is produced, reviewed, and presented to the COO/CFO in a timely manner annually.
Review budget exceptions in a timely manner to report to appropriate management personnel. Create a monthly variance report after period and year end to send to appropriate management and have the ability to present and discuss results.
Refine budget procedures to ensure accurate analysis at each budget cycle.
Make recommendations to management related to trends or other analysis.
Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary information and documents to perform annual audit.
Improves accounting job knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the art practices; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping other accomplish job results.
Other general accounting duties may include reconciliation of GL accounts, bank reconciliations, vouchering processing, voucher receipts and fixed asset accounting.

Work Location: Candidate will work on-site at the Company’s Pasco, WA facility. Will also consider candidates available to work on-site in Ellensburg and Stanwood facilities.
