Penmac Staffing is seeking candidates for their Brake Press and Shear Operator position with a local Steel company. This is a Temp-to-Hire position, our client is looking for a full-time candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for advancement.The ideal candidate for this position has extensive experience with Brake Press and Shear operating as well as Steel Fabrication. Must be able to multitask as you will be responsible for accurately filling out corresponding paperwork while operating the machines.
Shift: Monday through Friday, (7 am – 3:30 pm)
Pay: $18.00 + per hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities can include:
- Work with Iron and Steel to build component parts for the support of the unit
- Utilize various hand tools and machinery to manipulate and align materials
- Interpret and follow blueprints, sketches, etc.
- Must utilize math and tape measure to ensure materials meet specifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Prior Brake Press or Shear Operator experience, required
- Drug Screening and Criminal Background Check, required
