Progressive Careers & Housing is a non-profit agency that provides quality services for adults with developmental disabilities is seeking a passionate, creative, hard-working Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to develop and facilitate programming for a caseload of adult clients, which includes five Community Integrated Living Arrangement sites (CILA's) and the Adult Day Program. This position reports to the BCBA level III position

Summary

• The Behavior Therapist's role is to improve the behavior of the individuals on their caseload and to oversee all behavior programming for that caseload. You will be responsible for collaborating with all members of the behavior team, and creating, implementing, and monitoring individualized behavior plans for assigned individuals.
• Do the initial work to determine the individual's needs and abilities by conducting interviews to learn more about their target behaviors. Will also perform direct and indirect assessments of the individual's behaviors.
• Propose a strategy for behavior change. This strategy will be based on a combination of assessment results and the BCBA's prior knowledge of effective treatment plans that have been successful on similar cases.
• You must be able to effectively implement the strategy plan devised in the prior assessment phase. Data must be collected before and during the implementation of the plan so that results can be identified as the study continues.
• You must evaluate the effectiveness of the implemented behavioral intervention plan. When the results are not as preferred, must be able to modify or change it to achieve the desired results. Also develop a long-term maintenance plan to be put in place after the one-on-one work between the BCBA and the individual is completed.

Requirements

• BCBA Certification, Level 1
• Previous experience or familiarity with ABA therapy or developmental disabilities
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities
• Ability to interact effectively and sensitively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
