**You will have the option to work from home, but will be required to come into the office with the team when scheduled at the Redlands CA location once a month.**
SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of the Billing Specialist is to monitor and ensure correct and appropriate billing, chargebacks and collections from clients. This role emphasizes pro-actively following up on overdue accounts and reviewing all billing history to ensure resolution for any and all billing issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following other duties may be assigned:
- Maintain the professionalism, confidentiality, and image as required by the position.
- Be familiar with all procedures and protocols of servicing interlock devices.
- Resolve questions and concerns raised by clients, billing department associates, and sales department associates by phone or in person.
- Promote, practice, and maintain excellence in the area of Customer Service and Billing.
- Review clients concerns and complaints.
- Assure that collections are handled appropriately and effectively.
- Assist with planning, developing, and implementing policies for Billing Department.
- Demonstrate the ability to think independently and work through assigned projects to closure.
- Understand and agree to abide by the policies and procedures established by Low Cost Interlock.
- Maintain a positive and caring atmosphere for customers and associates consistent with the Low Cost Interlocks mission and philosophy.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or directed.
- Maintain the integrity, security, and confidentiality of pertinent information and records.
- Promote a positive, professional image of Low Cost Interlock internally and externally.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Three or more years of experience in Billing Department with a focus on customer service, collections, and/or demonstrated success in new business development.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of the interlock industry and familiarity with industry leaders and
- competitors.
- Financial management skills to understand and use appropriate financial principles and tools.
- Problem analysis skills to break down complex issues into understandable and manageable data and clearly define the problem or opportunity for improvement.
- Organization skills to maximize the use of time and resources.
- Negotiation skills to understand others perspective, experience, and information and explore alternatives and positions resulting in solutions all parties can support.
- Oral communication skills that articulates ideas clearly in one-on-one, small group, or large group settings and delivers effective presentations adapting language and style to fit audience needs.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for clear, concise and effective communication.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as court orders, lease agreements, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- The ability to successfully perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
- Displays professional appearance and conduct towards clients, judiciary members and co-workers.
- Adept at MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable motor vehicle record.

- Ability to work 8 hour shifts between the hours of 5:00am through 8:00pm daily.
