We have an immediate opening for a Medical Billing/AR Specialist with a highly respected client in the healthcare industry. The Medical Billing/AR Specialist is responsible for performing all intake procedures for patient referrals. This full time, temp to hire position is offering a pay range of $14-$18 depending on experience, and a lucrative benefits package.

Medical Billing Specialist Responsibilities:
1. Insurance Verification
2. Thoroughly discussing insurance eligibility and out-of-pocket expenses with the patient
3. Collecting/posting payments from insurance carriers and patients
4. Investigate insurance denials, and apply for appeals
5. Communicating effectively with all patients to help them feel comfortable and confident with the financial aspects of their services

Medical Billing Specialist Requirements:
1. 3-5 years’ experience of insurance reimbursement and health insurance billing REQUIRED
2. MUST understand managed care and insurance relating to pharmacy and medical benefits
3. Excellent time management and organizational skills
4. Effective, clear communication skills- both verbally and written
5. Very strong computer skills, MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
