Job Description - Behavior Assistant

The Behavior Assistant works in the home with individuals who have intelectual disabilities, Autism and other challenges with communication and behaviors. This is not intensive behavior intervention. But is a stepping stone in a carreer in working in the field of disabilities.

Pay is based on your education, training and skills. You have the opportunity to earn more through completion of training and skill development. You will be trained to work with specific individuals. Typically ages 10-adults.

Our participants (clients) may have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or intellectual or physical disabilities. This is a relationship & respect-based program. That means you are a support companion.

Typically our school age participants are available for service after school And many of our Adult participants are available mid day. Weekends are also preferred for many participants.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Step by Step follows the CDC mandates. All staff must be vaccinated and have a current TB test.

• are you able to work one or both days on the weekends for 2-6 hours per day?
• Are you able to work at least 3 week day (Monday-Friday)shifts from 3:30-7:30?
