Job description

Responsible for maintaining and promoting hospitality at all times; welcoming and serving our guests in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner. Bartender will be responsible for the set-up, maintenance and operation of the bar and maintaining alcohol and food inventory. Bartender will also be responsible for preparing food from a limited menu, clearing all tables, maintaining the bar area, and keeping all items stocked for the duration the bar is open.

Requirements:

· Exhibits strong customer service skills, including multi-tasking

· Previous bar experience required

· Experience with Micros POS system

· TABC Certified and food handler certified preferred

· Be outgoing and engaging with our guests to ensure a great evening reception and bar experience

· Open to cross-training and assisting in other departments as necessary

· Must be capable of high quality food preparation for evening bar menu

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

· Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times

· Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area

· Preparing drinks to industry standards

· Presenting all food and beverage items in an efficient and personable manner using the designated serving styles

· Maintaining a working knowledge of food and drink menu items, promotions, ingredients, and prep time

· Entering drink orders into the POS system

· Collecting payment and making change in a timely and courteous manner

· Keep all food and alcohol items stocked, organized, and maintained during bar hours.

· Washing and sterilizing glassware

· Maintain organization and food safety standards of all food storage areas

· Promptly, effectively, and empathetically assist with guest requests

· Be very knowledgeable of Marriott Rewards program and promotions

· Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, and amenities of the hotel

· Be knowledgeable of the local area, including: shopping, entertainment, and dining

· Complete any other related task given by manager
