We are seeking a skilled and customer service driven Barista to join our team as we make the transition from Queen City Coffee into the new Vento Coffee.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, a desire to provide our customers with an exceptional coffee experience, and have enthusiasm to be a part of our vision in a transitioning environment. The Barista will be responsible for crafting and serving high-quality espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea, and other beverages to our customers in a fast-paced environment with a drive-thru.

Hourly wage is hourly posted + tips

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently, utilizing our POS system and cash handling procedures.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea drinks, including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and brewed coffee, according to our recipes and standards.
• Ensure that the coffee bar and equipment are clean and well-stocked, and maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
• Operate and maintain all equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and blenders, according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of our coffee beans, brewing methods, and drink recipes, and make recommendations to customers based on their preferences.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking supplies, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and ensuring that the store is ready for the next day of business.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Barista, preferably in a specialty coffee shop or fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume setting, while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of customers and team members.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow recipes and guidelines accurately.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Passion for coffee and a desire to continue learning about coffee culture and trends.
