Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Back-End Developer to work on the development of their back-end services and API's. This role offers the opportunity to work in a Cloud Native environment, with the ability to shape and influence their product offering from day one.

Responsibilities

• Developing services with TypeScript (with Node.js) in Lambda.
• Assisting with the design and evolution of their DevOps tooling.
• Building their Amazon Web Services environment.
• Performance tuning and optimization.
• Continually developing your skill set as required to ensure that the best technologies and methods are used.
• Maintaining focus on security.
• Working within a truly Agile environment, participating in daily stand-up meetings.
• Collaborating with the rest of the development team and business to meet objectives.
• Accountable for the time spent on a project (with supervision of his/her manager).
• Ability to brainstorm with the TL/Architect on the best solution or approach.
• Ability to think out of the box.
• Differentiate forest vs trees.
• Interview candidates (when applicable).
• Strong understanding of the development cycle and programming techniques and tools.

Requirements

• 4 to 8 years of demonstrable experience with the following technologies:
  • TypeScript
  • JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Node.js
• Experience working with Amazon Web Services, in particular AWS Lambda.
• Experience working within an Agile environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work in partnership with both business and technology teams.
• Proactive and truly passionate about technology.
• Degree-level education in Computer Science (or equivalent), or similar experience.
• Willingness to continually learn new languages.

Desirable

• Experience with Node.js frameworks such as Express.js, Nest.js, Fastify, etc.
• Experience with Node.js CMS frameworks such as StrapiCMS.
• Experience with Front-end JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks such as React.js and Angular.js.
• Experience working in Azure environments and Azure Serverless.
• Experience working with Python and Java.
• Minimum Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
