Job description

The final engine preparation and assembly before testing and inspection.
Essential Job Duties:

• The assembler will put on all final engine components.
• Get the engine ready for testing and final Quality Inspection.

• Use hand and power tools.

• Follow all specifications from the computer.

• Follow all approved Standardized Work Instructions.

• Assembler will verify all parts and check for any defects prior to sending them forward in line.

• Assure safety standards are used at all times and comply with all OSHA and L&I regulations.

• Follow established company policies that are outlined in the employee handbook.

• Assumes other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience: Complete Engine Assembly training boot camp. Complete all training from Standardized Work Instructions.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Competent in following all Standard Work Instructions and can read specifications and verify pictures from the computer program.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Lifting 5-50 pounds using proper lifting techniques or equipment, bending, and twisting. Standing for entire shift. Loud work environment. Personal Protective Equipment is required at all times including Safety Glasses, Steel toed boots, and Hearing Protection. Painting requires additional respiratory fit testing and respiratory mask worn at all times.
Preferred Qualifications: Engine Assembly, Remanufacturing and Engine Testing/Quality Experience.
