Volume Cars has three big locations, and we are looking to expand our used car inventory. We are seeking an experienced buyer that can help us purchase the right vehicles, both import and domestic.
During this process you will need to explain:
1. Approach in procuring
2. Metrics/resources used
3. How do you deplete/marketed inventory
4. How do you market read, or seem to have a grounded thought process
Responsibilities would include but not limited to:
- Purchase and sell Used Car inventory
- Stay abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc., and how they benefit customers
- Develop and maintain a buying network
- Ensure the lots are merchandised well and the cars are maintained at the highest standards.
- Price all cars correctly on various websites and be familiar with online marketing of used vehicles.
- Appraise Trade Ins
- Attends local auctions in effort to purchase and stock vehicles in our Chicagoland dealerships.
- Purchase used vehicles online by utilizing used car sites and forecasting the needs of used vehicle inventory at the dealerships.
- Knows and understands equity and values and is able to explain depreciation.
5+ years’ experience as a Used Car Buyer required. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Online and In-lane purchasing of pre-owned luxury vehicles from our auction partners.
Additional requirements:
- Ability to manage and maximize buying opportunities within their territory
- Proven track record using all available technology
- Proven ability to appraise vehicles correctly
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including some nights and weekends
- Previous auction and dealership selling, or marketing experience REQUIRED.
