Job description
UIC Division of Specialized Care for Children seeks an Assistant Director of Enrollment and Specialty Care to direct Core, Connect Care and Home Care Enrollment for the Division of Specialized Care for Children to ensure effective and efficient operations. This includes: supervision of managers, other staff and all administrative functions. Interfaces with and ensures compliance with regulatory agencies, the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS), Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) as well as university policies and procedures.
This position can be based out of any DSCC office located through out the State of Illinois: Chicago, Lombard, Mokena, Rockford, Peoria, Champaign, Springfield, O’Fallon, Marion, or Olney. Periodic statewide travel is required.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Enrollment:
Direct, oversee and assess all enrollment operations, staffing, and development. Implement and interpret DSCC and HFS policies and operating procedures. Propose and implement changes as needed.
Lead and facilitate initiatives to obtain feedback on services and new approaches to incorporate best practices.
Develop and manage timelines, tasks and benchmarks associated with all enrollments. Provide information to care coordination leadership on all things related to DSCC enrollment including: population of enrollments, trends, referrals, resources, caseloads, etc. on a monthly basis.
Assist with provision of data and providing feedback to all of DSCC's partners. Compile internal and external data, use analytical tools to understand existing processes and procedures and utilize information to develop new alternatives.
Ensure enrollment practices are streamlined and consistent across DSCC programs. Ensure resources are dispersed and offered appropriately for all who inquire to DSCC. Collaborate with discharge facilities and other external partners on ideas to streamline and improve strategic relations and processes with DSCC.
· Specialty Care:
Serve as the administrator of other specialty care programs that DSCC may come into agreement to provide services for.
Design an implementation plan for these potential services.
Provide information to care coordination leadership regarding implementation.
Generate reports and answers to requests from potential partners of these services.
Evaluate team make up for potential services.
Supervise teams of specialty care programs.
Communicate with all partners internally and externally regarding potential issues or concerns related to implantation or ongoing after program initiates.
Coordinates programs/services team, reports on program success and process improvements.
Evaluates programs after implementation. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Plan, assign and review work of staff to ensure that group objectives are met. Hire, train, develop and manage staff to ensure that qualified staff exists to meet objectives.
Required Qualifications
A Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or in a Human Services or a health care related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
A minimum of 5 years progressively responsible supervisory or management experience administering a care coordination program is required.
A minimum of 5 years experience in Medicaid services involving administration/monitoring/implementing.
Strong interpersonal, management and communication skills are necessary, as is knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
