Starting salary: $78,695
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. The starting salary range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Job Summary
Provide strategic counsel/recommendations, serve as a marketing consultant across the College and work with the Marketing Director to develop and implement impactful and results-driven campaigns. Provide database marketing/lead gen expertise, media planning and placement services. Offer collaborative leadership to Marketing and Public Relations team.

Essential Functions
Provide strategic marketing counsel District wide as requested. Assist in framing, developing and aligning marketing initiatives with the College’s overall mission, vision, values and goals. Assist in analyzing relevant data, metrics and reports.

In coordinator with the Marketing Team, develop and implement a comprehensive database marketing program that supports the Marketing department and Student Services’ utilizing Ellucian Recruit. Plan, develop and execute successful database marketing strategies and tactics that result in more prospective students and higher enrollment across the College.

Research, recommend and place all digital and traditional advertising for the department. Evaluate the effectiveness of past media buys and research student and market media consumption habits. Responsible for negotiating media planning and placement costs.

Develop, plan and produce videos to support specific campaigns and promotions. Produce video’s individually or work with free lance videographer or production studios to produce impactful video content that promotes specific goals and objectives.

Provide marketing consultation districtwide for mini-marketing plans, assuring plans are consistent with overall branding and districtwide campaign. Manage assigned budgets for mini-marketing plans. Anticipate problems and regularly communicate progress to appropriate customers.

Perform other administrative duties as assigned, such as taking shift(s) at the DMACC booth at the Iowa State Fair, serving as a guest lecturer at the College, approving payroll or invoices when needed.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, education or related field with five years of relevant marketing experience or Associate’s degree plus seven years of relevant marketing experience.
Knowledge and experience with database marketing and lead generation initiatives utilizing a CRM.
Experience providing marketing consulting and strategic counseling.
Experience developing, posting and monitoring paid ads on digital media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube and search engines.
Experience with visual/video marketing.
Strong communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of current software applications

Desired Qualifications
Experience supporting staff with a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
Prior staff management experience.
