Gecko Girlz Shave Ice in Kailua Kona, HI is looking for an assistant manager to join our team. We are located on Ali'i Drive, in Coconut Grove, right on the volleyball court. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, reliable and hard-working. The successful candidate must a great ability to plan ahead and prepare for unforeseen challenges. This person will be required to lead by example and work alongside the team. Food industry experience is preferred. This position has some flexibility in working days / hours. Salary and benefits are negotiable DOE.

Responsibilities

*Train, coach, and develop employees and team leaders *Delegate tasks to team and provide follow-up *Hold team accountable for their performance; provide coaching and counseling as needed *Ensure team provides fast, friendly, and accurate service *Ensure product quality, restaurant cleanliness, maintenance and security standards are met *Staff and schedule appropriately to control labor costs *Ensure proper cash handling and deposit procedures are followed *Ensure appropriate inventory and ordering systems are in place

Qualifications

*Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workers *Possess a positive attitude and ethics which support our values and culture *Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused restaurant *Strong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize *Previous retail or food customer service and management experience

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Mondays. Compensation is $25.00 - $35.00/hour.
