Summary:
Assembles or modifies prototype or custom electronic parts, assemblies, and systems as a critical step in the engineering design process which involves reviewing and analyzing sketches and drawings of parts and assemblies to determine what is to be assembled. Discussing sketches with engineers to plan the construction sequence and to suggest design modifications; fabricating components by drilling holes, applying coatings, etc. as per sketches, and determining the sequence of assembly on prototypes or following printed assembly instructions on production assemblies. Ability to work with minimal direction and oversight. Simple to moderate level testing and troubleshooting. Occasional travel to support field modifications at customer sites.
Essential Duties:
  • Utilize various soldering techniques to install wires, resistors, capacitors, microcircuits and other discrete components, etc. on circuit boards, chassis, etc.
  • Review and analyze sketches and drawings of parts and assemblies prepared by shop management or Engineering to determine how a unit is assembled and suggest changes when necessary.
  • Document work performed on standard company forms or electronic data collection devices.
  • Perform continuity testing; operate manual or ATE test equipment to supplement Service Technicians when necessary.
  • Support onsite repairs or modifications at customers’ facilities.
  • Assist in training lower grade associates.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned
Skills and Experience:
  • High school diploma with some technical training or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skilled in the use of power and hand tools

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM Provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
