Position Summary
Mill Creek Machining (MCM), a CMT company, is seeking an AS9100 Coordinator to work with our Quality team for our Paullina, IA location. The AS9100 Coordinator is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day duties that include ensuring products produced meet specific quality standards at both of our locations in Paullina and Spencer. *This position works a schedule of Monday thru Friday from 7:00am-5:00pm. The pay range for this position is between $60,000 - $85,000/year depending on experience.*
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, Monitor, Train, and Record all paperwork and aspects of AS9100.
- Responsible for all compliance of AS9100.
- Establish quality procedures, standards, and specifics for MCM.
- Collect, compile, and analyze relevant quality statistical data to obtain information regarding quality performance.
- Prepare and present reports to management on quality activities.
- Identify customer quality metrics and ensure they are being met by established quality standards.
- Recommend MCM management process improvement on existing quality processes. Ensures raw materials from external suppliers meet quality standards.
- Assist with product development processes and product specification to identify the need for improvements or upgrades.
- Ensure manufacturing processes are compliant with national and international standards of production.
- Assist with developing validation protocols with customer input, monitor execution, and develop completion reports for approval.
- Identify methods to reduce waste and maximize resources.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
- High School/GED or equivalent education is required; Associates degree or higher is preferred.
- 5+ years' experience in CNC Manufacturing required.
- Strong competence and leadership in ISO9001/AS9100 quality standards.
- Competent with Microsoft Office and capable of using ERP systems.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct tests to ensure products and materials meet the established quality specification.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work with a team of quality assurance personnel to ensure raw materials and final products meet set standards of quality.
- Organizational Skills: Adept at planning and developing standards, procedures, and best practices for ensuring product quality.
