The City of Lee’s Summit is now seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Animal Control Officer; (this is an evening shift position (3pm - 11pm daily) Duties will include enforcement of animal control ordinances; writing reports and preparing investigative cases; relocation of wildlife; assisting in office operations and maintenance of the municipal shelter.

Minimum requirements include:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license
• Public relations
• Written communication
• Crises / conflict management
• Ability to assist with euthanizing and control of dangerous and large animals

Applicants must be willing to work shift schedules, which includes weekends and holidays. Applicants must be able to complete the hiring process, which includes a background investigation.

Starting pay is $18.10 per hour and includes an excellent benefit package. An application form must be completed online at the link above.
