Overview:
Opportunity to work in a hybrid model in Fort Worth: Currently working 2 days in office per week. Subject to change.

The Process Excellence Analyst II supports and contributes to the development of an industry-leading Lean Six Sigma program designed to train, coach, and certify GMF personnel. In addition, this position engages in strategic initiatives across GM Financial. This role is responsible for supporting and coordinating active efforts in the Process Excellence portfolio. Responsibilities include: planning, process engineering, analysis and communicating findings. Key to this role is ensuring internal client expectations are met by providing quality deliverables in a timely manner. Supporting and organizing the development of accurate documentation and status information is vital to the success of this role; these include but are not limited to project charters, business process flows, communication plans and project checklists.
Responsibilities:
JOB DUTIES
  • Support the development and delivery of Operational Excellence Training programs including White Belt and Yellow Belt certification, through day-to-day program management, administration, and basic instructional design.
  • Partner with leadership to develop GMF’s Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement programs.
  • Project Management: Lead and/or support initiatives from discovery and kickoff through project closure. Ability to comprehend intent and approach to a project. Assist in developing project/program schedules. Assist with specific deliverables and activities within the initiative plan. Create various common project documents from scratch and/or leverage established PEX templates.
  • BPM/ BPI: With minimal direction, support Business Process Management including guiding groups and or teams through process design, live mapping sessions, reengineering and opportunity assessments - ensure compliance (department, state and federal regulations).
  • Communication: Comfortable with public speaking in larger groups. Able to adjust messaging to fit audiences. Confident in sharing ideas and opportunities with peers and leadership. Provide timely status updates to stakeholders & project documentation.
  • Internal Consulting: Leverage interaction models. Communicate with varying levels of management and departments across the organization, utilize consulting skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS): Formulate recommendations and identify needs of the customer and the business, support the voice of the customer as well as the voice of the business.
  • Support: Support strategic transformation projects within the Operational Excellence portfolio, provide reporting on deployment, establish clear communication, identify/mitigate risk and ensure timely effort completion.

Qualifications:
Knowledge
  • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) - Possess knowledge of business transformation tools and techniques
  • Project Management - Possess knowledge and expertise in project management methodologies, tools and techniques
  • Auto Finance - Knowledge of GM Financial or another auto finance company core business functions, policies and procedures (desired)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred or a desire to pursue one through an accredited institution
Skills
  • Process Excellence – Ability to learn Six Sigma and Lean techniques and methodologies, knowledge of and experience in developing improvement opportunities and implementing efficiencies, champion process excellence initiatives
  • Consulting / Client Focus - Ability to build and sustain lasting relationships with internal clients Influence and positively deliver results and solve problems for future success
  • Analysis & Communication - Data analysis, effective communication including active listening and comfort presenting to senior leadership, ability to simplify complex information and develop clear communications and presentation materials to a variety of audiences
  • Technology Fluency - Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, Project), Microsoft Teams
  • Experience or willingness to learn business architecture modeling software (ie Nintex)
  • Instructional Design (desired)
  • Formal corporate classroom training/facilitation experience (virtual and in-person) (desired)
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or related field required
Experience
  • 1-3 relevant work experience required
    • Instructional Design preferred
    • Formal corporate classroom training/facilitation (virtual and in-person) preferred
Licenses
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt 120 Days required
  • Nintex Process Mapping Expert-Author Certification 120 Days required
