Creative Living Room
The Creative Living Room seeks teaching artists for Winter 2023 (and Spring) session for our After School Program. Winter session will run from January 9 - March 29 and classes meet from 4:30-5:30pm on a 9-11 week basis.
Immediate Winter Session Openings:
Dance/Movement based Teaching Artist
Thursdays from 4:30-5:30pm for After School Dance Party
Arts, Craft, Sewing-based Teaching Artist*
Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30pm, Class Theme TBD
*Seeking any variety of arts/crafts class that would be appropriate for students grades 1-5 or 3-5. Mixed media, drawing and painting; sewing, jewelry or an arts based class with a creative theme (Storytelling Art- projects based on books etc) or based on cultural exploration (Arts Around the World etc).
- Seeking teaching artists from any artistic or creative background that has experience working with children
- Previous experience in pre-schools, K-12 public/private schools or other community arts and cultural venues or educational programs
- Must be 21 years old or older
- Must have current clearances (PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprint) and Mandated Reporter Certificate
- Submit a resume along with a sample class syllabus/ description
- References required after initial interview
- Position is a 1099 independent contractor.

The Creative Living Room is a nonprofit arts education organization serving kids and families in Delaware County since 2008. Our organization is a resident partner with The Park Avenue Community Center in Swarthmore, PA. Easy access to SEPTA train on Media/Wawa line (one block walk).
We are also accepting teaching artist applications for Summer Camp 2023 (weekly themed camps for kids 5-12).
