Knowledge of Banner Advancement, CASE gift guidelines, procedures, and IRS regulations on charitable gifts are very helpful.
Job Specific Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 3-5 years of appropriate experience;
- Two to five years of supervisory experience;
- Extensive experience and success in utilizing major alumni/development software and databases;
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills;
- Knowledge of office methods, procedures, practices, and bookkeeping for accounting;
- Ability to develop and implement strategic operations plans for information in anticipation of future needs;
- Ability to interpret and apply a variety of complex policies and procedures with respect to their relationship to the University;
- Thorough understanding of the gift processing, donor relations, technology, document imaging, training, and data services;
- Organization, prioritization, judgment, and problem-solving skills are essential; and
- Exceptional computer skills and ability to run reports, maintain database integrity, and interface with the University IT department.

Oversee and direct information services and gift processing for University Advancement, including supervising Advancement Services support staff, the oversight and development of the alumni and development portions of the University’s Banner system and partner platform, Fundraising Performance Manager and other vendor programs. Accountable for the data integrity and accuracy concerning Advancement work.

Prepare management and campaign reports, data lists, system documentation, records maintenance, use and support of computer-based information systems, reconciliation, transfer of funds to appropriate accounts, budget management, overseeing and coordinating the work of the gift accountant.

Generate monthly fundraising reports and other campaign reports in comparison to the previous year as well as complete VSE, US News and World Report surveys, and other national reports and surveys for Advancement.

Supervises the Gifts Administrator in the processing and acknowledging of gifts, pledges, pledge payments, matching gifts, memorial gifts, in honor of gifts, and planned gifts.
