SmartyPants is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join our rapidly growing company. Reporting to the Controller, the A/R Manager will provide oversight and lead the Credit and Collections, Billing and Accounts Receivable functional teams ensuring prompt and accurate customer invoicing, application of cash and adjustments in the Accounts Receivable system. This position implements leading practice credit, collection and deduction management strategies.

What You’ll Do:

• Monthly & Bi-weekly A/R Aging analysis and assistance in the collection's efforts of the overdue accounts
• Establish, monitor, and improve departmental policies and procedures for Credit approval, Collections, Billings, Customer charge backs and resolutions
• Process customer payments in Acumatica (ERP system) daily, post payments and create deduction memos as needed
• Liaise and work extensively with internal Sales teams/management to develop successful strategies to optimize/improve collection ability
• Review, research, and/or validate chargebacks and other customer deductions
• Develop and implement dispute management processes and tools
• Work close with Operations to retrieve and follow up on proof of deliveries and chargebacks associated with freight related deductions.
• Perform various reconciliations (e.g. applied and unapplied cash receipts, customer aging statements etc. with GL accounts)
• Lead EDI invoicing process to ensure successful transmission of EDI invoices to the customers
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to increase cash flow, reduce DSO and improve collections metrics
• Assist in preparing support for external audits
• Prepare, analyze, and deliver Quarterly Bad Debt Reserve Analysis
• Optimize business systems to provide enhanced reporting and workflow
• Supervise & support the AR team of 2, Complete performance reviews and set objectives for the team
• Manage and process RA’s on several accounts

What You Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years progressive Accounts Receivable experience, 2+ years in a management role with credit and collection management experience
• Experience in Credit & Collections for major retailers, food distributors & drug stores is MUST
• Knowledge of EDI and Remittance processing is required
• Proficiency in MS Office & ERP systems, Acumatica experience preferred
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Must be organized and capable of handling multiple tasks

• The pay range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000. SmartyPants Vitamins takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. This position is bonus eligible. SmartyPants Vitamins employees are eligible to participate in our benefits plan.
