We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. As a Permanent Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the entire accounts payable process, including processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely vendor payments. You will also be responsible for assisting with monthly financial close, vendor set up, and resolving discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices. If you have a passion for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want you on our team!
Responsibilities:
- Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all vendor payments are made on time
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
- Assist with monthly financial close and AP accruals
- Set up new vendors and maintain accurate vendor records
- Work closely with the purchasing team to ensure that all purchase orders are processed in a timely manner and that invoices are matched to POs
- Collaborate with the manufacturing and distribution teams to ensure that all invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner
- Utilize SAP or ERP systems to ensure that all data is accurate and up to date
- Ensure that all AP processes are in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any issues or discrepancies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or related field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in SAP or ERP systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Experience in manufacturing or distribution industry preferred
