Job Description:
The accounts payable clerk is responsible for the payment of goods and services purchased by the organization. This role also serves as an auditor, ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed for the purchasing and payment of goods and services.
Job Duties:
- Routes and obtains approval for all invoices/claims.
- Reviews all invoices for appropriate approval, coding and supporting documentation prior to processing.
- Processed vouchers into the computer (PCS) system.
- Inputs ACH transactions and credit card statements.
- Provides weekly to be paid totals to management.
- Prints and obtains signatures on all accounts-payable checks.
- Distributes signed checks as required.
- Answers all vendor inquiries.
- Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files.
- Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
- Assists in monthly closings, including reconciliation of appropriate accounts.
- Communicates with co-workers, management, and others regarding purchases.
- Assists management team, as necessary.
- Performs scanning, filing and copying.
Job Qualifications:

- High School diploma/GED minimum
- Associates Degree in Accounting preferred
- 1-3 years experience working in Accounts Payable or related field
- Experience with Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook
