As the Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring billing accuracy by processing exceptions and assisting with billing inquiries for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist:

• Reviewing and analyze billing exceptions and makes corrections in customer billing system.
• Initiating and processing service orders.
• Investigating tamper codes.
• Resolving customer inquiries including (but not limited to): bill adjustments, sales tax exemptions, rate changes, and follow-up items. Communicating findings to internal and external customers.
• Collaborating with customers, third party institutions and other team members to resolve billing inconsistencies and errors.
• Inputting payment history, upcoming payment information or other financial data into an individual account.
• Finding financial solutions for patients or customers who may need payment assistance.
• Informing patients or customers of any missed or upcoming payment deadlines.
• Calculating and tracking various company financial statements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Billing or accounting experience
• 2 years of customer service experience
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office applications
