The Company operates across 20+ states and is a portfolio company of H.I.G. Capital, based in Miami, FL.

Job Summary
The Accounting Specialist will have a shared responsibility for both accounts receivable and accounts payable department functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to AR
• Provide customer account balance details to team and/or customers, as requested
• Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts
• Manage AR aging and follow up internally and externally on past due amounts
• Deposit checks received in the office to the corporate bank account
• Enter AP invoices and credit memo’s into system for payment processing
• Research and resolve AP inquires
• Maintain tracking files for both A/P and A/R
• Expense report processing
• Analysis of vendor or customer accounts as requested
• Assist with special projects and perform other duties as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of related AR/AP experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Outlook)
• Ability to work independently and with a team of individuals
• Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers/vendors
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• SAP or similar ERP system experience a plus
• On-site position

Education

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent work experience
