We offer a small company atmosphere coupled with the excitement of a fast-paced, rapidly expanding online retail business. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Set up invoices for payment by verifying transaction information and obtaining authorization for payment.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions according to GAAP.
• Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions; research and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls.
• Maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
• Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
• Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
• Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
• Aid and assist with generating the monthly reporting package.
• Any other assigned tasks

Requirements

• Strong understanding of basic finance, accounting, and bookkeeping procedures
• Comprehensive working knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong organizational and data entry skills.
• Proven working experience as accounts receivable clerk, accounts receivable manager or accountant.
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive financial information.
• High degree of accuracy and efficiency.
