VASS Pipe & Steel Co., Inc. is one of North America's largest distributors of steel pipe operating out of Houston, Texas. We primarily serve the Oil, Gas, and Energy industries and have been in business for over 45 years. We are currently seeking motivated and dedicated individuals who will join our New York corporate office (Mineola, Long Island) in a Account Manager Supply Chain capacity. VASS is continuing to grow and we are excited to welcome new team members to this opportunity.

Responsibilities:

· Assume a large portfolio of existing clients both Domestic and International, as well as actively seeking new clients. Contribute to sales department and assist with sales inquiries and order processing (both domestic and international) for all three sales offices (New York, Houston and Baton Rouge)

.Heavy volume coordination between warehouses, vendors, customers, as well as internal shipping/logistics department

.Manage inventory shipments (inbound/outbound) from warehouses in Houston, Texas.

o Includes calculating quotes

o Providing information requests from customers/vendors

o Coordinating and processing orders

· Manage documentation for customers and vendors

. Assist accounting dept. with reconciling A/R and A/P invoices

. Assist and support with various administrative duties

. Support Purchasing Department goals by sourcing future steel inventory/requirements

. Willing to wear 'multiple hats' and train in other departments of the company as necessary (i.e. Logistics, Inventory Management, etc.) and contribute meaningfully to overall company objectives

Requirements:

· Excellent communication skills

· Fully computer proficient (Excel, Outlook, Word)

· Excellent math skills

· Must be professional, organized, and ready to contribute to a team effort

· Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced - high volume environment

· Must have a pleasant phone manner and a professional workplace demeanor

· Excellent problem solving, time management, and organization skills

· Bi-Lingual Spanish/English a plus, but not necessary

· Hours: 8:30AM to 5:30PM or 9:00AM to 6:00PM Monday through Friday

*Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 annual depending on experience
