Description and Responsibilities:
We are looking for a 6th Grade Teacher to join our dynamic team of educators at Carson City-Crystal Upper Elementary/Middle School.
Ultimately, you will help and inspire children to achieve important learning milestones.
- Effectively interacts, communicates, and collaborates with students, parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders to foster student learning.
- Establishes a safe, supportive, positive, and productive learning environment for all students.
- Demonstrates various 21st-century teaching skills to foster independent, creative, critical thinkers and problem solvers.
- Designs and facilitates engaging, high-level, sophisticated learning experiences and applications appropriate to prepare students for the 21st century global, knowledge-based society.
- Teaches concepts and skills based on state standards that facilitate learning and contribute to students’
- Be comfortable using iReady Math and ELA, MiStar Science, 6th-grade social studies curriculum
- Possibility of one teacher teaching ELA and SS & One teacher teaching Math & Science.
- Participates in faculty meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops.
- Organizes classrooms and other settings for daily instruction.
- Effectively uses personal computing devices and software applications to manage student records, instructional efficiency, and professional development.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Salary: Based on CCCEA Master Agreement.
