2nd Shift Production Employee

American Wood Fibers (AWF) is a manufacturer of both consumer and industrial products that are sold to multiple manufacturers as well as pet, agricultural, and home-heating markets. AWF is comprised of 450+ employees and holds operations at 11 locations, generating over $100M in annual sales revenue. We are currently seeking a candidate for the 2ndShift Production Employee role in the Marysville, CA.

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Employee is responsible for working in a safe, efficient manner to maximize production and shipping of wood flour and shavings.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• PRODUCTION
• Operate the baler and/or squeeze-packer in a safe and efficient manner to produce packaged materials
• Confer with shift supervisor and complete all assigned work duties
• Assist with the cleaning of the work area
• SHIPPING
• Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner while loading trucks with packaged material
• May also be required to load company and customer trailers
• May be asked to complete paperwork for shipping
• OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
• Perform outside maintenance activities including sweeping, picking up debris, watering flowers and shrubbery, and other duties as needed
• QUALITY
• Maintain and verify that all current quality assurance measures are being followed and communicated to supervisors, production employees, truck drivers, office personnel, and customers
• Assist in the design and implementation of new procedures as needed
• OTHER
• Attend and participate in monthly safety meetings
• Establish personal growth and working relationships with fellow employees towards continuous improvement and teamwork

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Physical capability to bend, squat, or stoop
• Valid Drivers License REQUIRED

COMPENSATION

$17.50 per hour
