Operate the Marriott - Walker spray box dryer process in an efficient manner in order to maximize production while maintaining product quality and employee safety.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Dryer operation: Start-up, proper operation, shut down, and clean up of dryer and related equipment.
- Ensure proper moisture in finished product.
- Maintain charts & keep accurate records.
- Responsible for product flow, proper tank hook up, directing powder to proper silo, maintaining the air inlet & product transfer filters, bag compartments, dryer box cleaning and general upkeep.
-Follow all DFA GMP's and work in manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements. -Maintain orderly and clean work area and be willing to perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to use commercial English, grammar, and arithmetic; such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, including decimals and fractions.
- Ability to use direct reading instruments and devises in which interpretation is not required.
- Perform basic quality testing as necessary, including but not limited to; % moisture, sediment, density, % total solids, % butterfat.
- Understand the dryer HTST, spray dryer and convey systems to effectively troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Ability to carry out instructions and effectively manage multiple tasks at once.
- Ability to lift at least 56#. -Willing to work 6 and 7 days as needed.
