Job Overview

The Merchandising Execution Manager drives sales, profit, and extraordinary customer experience by leading and developing compelling merchandising strategies and execution that bring 2nd & Charles to life through impactful presentation. This includes the formulation of seasonal product sets and refreshes, and the creation, implementation, and support of merchandising standards across the 2nd & Charles brand. The successful candidate will work cross functionally, providing consistent direction and hands on training to Regional, District and Store teams while working with the Merchant group to allow continuous improvement of store merchandising execution and drive results.

• Drive sales and profit results by managing merchandising process from planning through execution of workload in stores to meet company expectations, budgets, and timeline. This includes pricing, signing, visual, merchandise and event execution.
  
  
  

• Develop, review, update and keep current all merchandising execution standards for the 2nd & Charles stores including processes that enhance the in-store customer experience as well as mechanisms around store compliance.
  
• Direct all seasonal floor sets and in store merchandising projects. Collaborate closely with the Merchant group in the development, communication, and execution of seasonal floor sets as well as all longer-term merchandise product launches and departmental floor changes.
  

• Display business acumen by utilizing company reporting tools to identify department and global merchandising opportunities or gaps for stores and develop action plans to address.
  
  
  

• Sets clear objectives and merchandising expectations by coaching store team members on merchandise placement and standards, store processes, and business results while growing bench and mentoring for succession planning.
  
  
  
• Facilitate the sharing of product knowledge, current trends, visual priorities, and store merchandising to all levels of the team. Maintain communication and teamwork on completing store objectives; encourages and demonstrates adaptability to affect change and successfully execute shared vision.
  
• Provide detailed reporting on compliance of stores to store brand standards.
  
• Collaborate with Store Operations to create and deliver in person and digital training and guidance around all brand standards and merchandising within the 2nd & Charles brand.
  
• Partner with the RVP and District Manager group to gather and make actionable all store feedback related to training needs, visual merchandising tools, and to develop and deliver needed training.
  
  
  

• Demonstrates awareness and adheres to store’s safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of the store.
  
• Execute any additional tasks and projects necessary at the direction of the Vice President of Merchandising.
