Soliant iscurrently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Contracted School Psychologist to join our educational team for the 2023-2024 school year. This position will be based in Michigan and offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to their academic and personal success.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, and specific needs.
  • Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations for appropriate interventions and accommodations.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with special needs.
  • Provide counseling and support services to students facing emotional or behavioral challenges.
  • Assist in the implementation of evidence-based interventions and strategies to address academic, social, and emotional difficulties.
  • Monitor and evaluate students' progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
  • Conduct workshops and trainings for teachers, parents, and staff on topics related to mental health, behavior management, and learning strategies.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, concerns, and appropriate interventions.
  • Stay updated on current research, best practices, and legal requirements in the field of school psychology.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Michigan.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment techniques, intervention strategies, and special education laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficient computer skills for conducting assessments, analyzing data, and preparing reports.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and ongoing learning.

Contract Details:

  • Contract duration: 10 months (August 2023 to June 2024).
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on qualifications and experience.
  • Hours: Part-time or full-time options available, based on the needs of the district.
  • Location: Various school districts across Michigan.
