Job description
VISTA member will engage with MSW clinic in developing a state certified mental health program. The VISTA will engage in outreach activities that promote MSW as a dental resource for low-income individuals, and will coordinate with MSW’s social media coordinator to promote such outreach activities and grow the number of individual’s receiving MSW’s messaging. The VISTA will advance people out of poverty by increasing access to care for low-income and uninsured individuals through the addition of mental health services and outreach efforts.
Member Duties : Engaging in research to determine steps required to establish DHS 35 clinic certification. Identify and participate in outreach activities that are geared towards community education of MSW’s existence, services provided, and eligibility, and promote community focused activities that raise donor and needs awareness. Coordination of volunteers to promote resource tables local restaurants and businesses, schools, and community health fairs. VISTA will engage quarterly with the Dane County Oral Health Coalition to further the work oral health for the low-income residents of Dane County. Communicate outreach and other activities to Social Media Coordinator for promotion. Recommend promotional content to Social Media Coordinator via weekly meetings to support continued growth of MSW’s social media outreach.
